The Value of Submission Guidelines
As our submission pile grows, we want to offer a gentle reminder to all those who are submitting/wish to submit to Dark Recesses Press to read the guidelines carefully.
We have done our best to make is a clear as possible what we are looking for, as well as how we wish your submissions to be formatted. We’ve even added a formatting sample for your reference to help ease any confusion our deviation from standard formatting may cause.
With the growing slush pile, our tolerance for improperly formatted subs is decreasing. Subs that do not follow guidelines will be deleted unread. This may seem harsh, but we have a small group of readers, and only have so much time and human energy available to read submissions.
We want to help you put your best work forward and give it the best chance possible, so please take the time to read the guidelines carefully. If you any have questions, please feel free to query first, and we will happily clarify.
Remember, our time and your time are both valuable. Respect the guidelines to ensure neither of our time is wasted.
